It made entering and organizing items simple and provided helpful features like flyers and fundraising totals. I think it would be even better with more customization options and tutorial videos to help new users get started. Pros The item entry process was simple, and the platform was free to use. I also liked the printable flyers, clear fee breakdowns, total raised, and variety of travel packages. It was a nice clean way to keep all the items donated organized, with FMV and who donated it. Cons There were no tutorial videos to help with learning the platform. I also could not enter credit cards for people, and the flyers were not customizable for different sizes or adding FMV. When I edited the item numbers, the remaining numbers did not automatically update. The picture frame size was also awkward at 16:8. Pros Easy access to help via website resources as well as live agent help. Very easy onboarding and set-up and great choices of trips, experiences and collectible items. Cons None. I really do not have a bad thing to report. The event we had included a more senior group of men that had less interest in the online version, so we may adjust next year to transition to a live auction event. Payment processing is a bit slow, but I'd rate it 7/10 based on the return on investment and site management. Pros I love the many options for travel experiences and gaining a percentage of prizes listed. Also, it offered more than travel, but artwork and miscellaneous as well. I also liked how you can add a logo for those who sponsored the added item. Cons What I really disliked was that you couldn't add multiple trips of the same experience. People had to bid against themselves in order to win multiple trips. meaning they would have to bid higher just to win multiple instead of the option to list it multiple times. I also didn't like if we wanted to close out and then open back up for the things that didn't sell, we would have to start a brand new auction versus opening it back up. The first log-in took you to a donation page and I would have preferred it took you to the auction. User registration was also very smooth; we did not receive any complaints or have issues with attendees signing up and making bids. It handled the volume of bids throughout the night without any glitches or set-backs. Cons The fees associated with the service but we understand this is industry-standard. Just something to consider for smaller non-profits but we appreciated the stress WinningBidder took away in terms of the technical side of the auction; it allowed us to focus more on the event and guests. I would happily use the site again for a future auiction. Pros Easy to use with an intuitive interface and all the features needed to organize a smooth-running auction and professional. The ability to provide administrator access to other members of our team was very useful. This was my first time organizing such an event and Winning Bidder provided excellent customer - responsive, patient and helpful. Best of all, the software is free to use! Cons The FAQs might be a bit more comprehensive for first-0time users. This would avoid customer support questions. Also, I ran a dummy auction for internal testing and then had to start again with a new auction - it would be helpful to know not to close such a trial in order to preserve the initial entries. The reports were also very helpful in managing our auction. We will definitely use it again. Cons We had some videos about our items that we would have liked to be able to embed in the descriptions but that wasn't possible. We were looking for some big ticket items to draw attention and TravelPledge did that, and provided an auction platform all rolled into one. Pros This made creating a silent auction really easy. This was our first silent auction event, and while it didn't quite go as we had hoped, it was easy, intuitive and provided a lot of great items for guests to view and select from. Cons The closing time was disappointing as we had set a 9:40 time and it closed at 9:40. We had guests that wanted to submit some last minute bids and they were not able to. Pros TravelPledge is extremely user friendly and simplifies the auction process. Rather than going out and begging businesses for donations, this program provides options with transparency of the actual retail value and with how much is automatically donated to the non-profits themselves. Cons We had no cons in our initial experiences. It is maybe just a matter of some of our donors growing comfortable with online options.
