Steelhead really believes in the product that they have created and back it up 100 percent. The team assigned to our launch was very enthusiastic and took ownership of our account. Overall I believe the software was a good fit for us. Pros Steelhead has many layers of customization that can be used to dial in variables in your operation. Moving parts, tracking orders, overall visibility is very intuitive and simple for operators. Cons At first there were extra steps in order entry that seemed redundant or unnecessary for our operation. After a while with the help of engineers, we were able to remove some, and others became routine after hundreds of orders entered. Tudo also was slow to respond to customer service issues. I was worried about bringing on the new system and the large learning curve it would create with our team. Also, I had a little hesitancy if investing the time in effort in onboarding the Steelhead system would be a benefit for the company. I have found it to be nothing but a success in giving us the tools for future success. Pros Steelhead has provided an opportunity for our company to monitor of processes and ability to grow with real time data. Cons I have not came across any items that have disappointed me that have not been resolved when discussed with the Steelhead team. Following this further, you are able to see where your profits are coming from, or if you need to be more efficient as a whole, which in my opinion, is extremely valuable information to any size company. There are also plenty of useful and helpful features available for use. Cons What I like least about this software is that it is unable to be fully customized to an individual business, but the team at Steelhead does a nice job trying to make up for this. December 13, 2022 5.0 From beginning to end, I cannot say enough good things about Steelhead. Their employees from sales, to engineering, implementation, customer service - all stellar. Very easy to work with, eager to help - and willing to admit when they don't know something, but quick to get answers on those items! Every operation / company they work with undoubtedly has varying requirements, and use their software in differing ways. Regardless of how their software is used, all Steelhead wants to do is continue to improve upon it based on your specific needs. It gets built out and improved based on what their customer's needs are, and that's what sets them apart the most. Pros The quoting module is what we currently use the most. Steelhead enables us to capture all of our quote data, prints, specifications - etc. and we no longer have to reference or rely on our paper records. As we continue to integrate more of our operation, Steelhead continues to drive our efficiency. No more need for paper travelers, cloud based packing slips and signature capture, a complete visualization of where the work in our facility is located....the list goes on. Cons Really don't dislike anything at this time. It's a rather new software, so where there may be missing modules, or a shortcoming on data capture - their engineers are CONSTANTLY updating the software and expanding it's capabilities and offerings. I quite literally wake up each day excited to see what is next to come! Reason for choosing Steelhead Epicor and NetSuite are big box, big company. Implementation fees are VERY high, and their offerings are not customizable. Steelhead has been a 100% personal, relationship driven implementation from the very beginning. I've had one stable contact throughout, I feel my needs and concerns are heard. And as I've already mentioned, Steelhead builds out and improves upon their software based on their customers needs. Versus Epicor and NetSuite, the customer would have to adjust their processes based around what their product can do / offer, and undoubtedly has many extra features that never get used. May 8, 2023 5.0 The deployment of Steelhead was amazing. \[sensitive content hidden\] committed to a daily conference call over the first 6 weeks, along with 6 full days of operator training on-site. They have done a great job of supporting our goals and getting Steelhead customized to our specific processes, which was much easier than I ever imagined.I can always count on them for a quick response if I need support. It means a lot to know that you have help along the way when making such big changes and implementing a new ERP system.Steelhead software is extremely quick and responsive. Pros Steelhead has made our life here so much easier. One of the biggest benefits that we have seen with our implementation is that we now have visibility to job costing on a much more detailed level. We have been able to raise pricing on an as needed basis and the customers have been very receptive to the increases. It has also helped us to see where we need to figure ways to be more productive with the current work load. We now have one place for us to all work out of vs. going to a few different programs to get what we need. This has also helped us with training our new hires the same way, every time. The part number instructions that follow the job as they come into the shop, has made it so that all of the operators consistently know which steps to take at each step of the process. All the information they need is at their fingertips, every single time. It makes things so consistent. Cons There are just a couple things that I am hoping for in the future: \* Invoice option to edit vs creating a whole new one when a change is needed\* Get the part number, or at a minimum the quantity listed on the received orders page or work order page Review Source MF Mike F. President Automotive Used the software for: Less than 6 months ### "Commercial Powder Coating " February 6, 2023 5.0 Overall Steelhead has been a great addition for us and in a very short period of time has increased efficiency, throughput and visibility throughout the shop. Pros Specific to the Powder coating industry, no upfront development cost. Cons Some of the features are not very intuitive such as the Reporting but Steelhead has always been helpful when we have questions and improving the platform based off feedback. This is a major differentiator Cons Some features not used in process lingering. Transition with all of the nuances my business has was a bit more difficult to setup. In hindsight, I should have spent more upfront time to review the developed process and feedback from floor workers would have been better. The employees go above & beyond to answer all of your questions right away & walk you through step by step. Using new software's is always a challenge, but the Steelhead team made this transition very simple for our team. Pros Customer friendly & easy to use. You're able to track all jobs with ease. Since it's all digital it's convenient to easily locate work orders, packing slips, invoices & etc. The most beneficial use I have found is checking to see where a job is located within our shop when a customer checks on the status of their PO. Cons Integration with Sage was a bit of a hassle in the beginning, but after all said & done everything that we need transfers over wonderfully.
