### "Easily setup my calibration program"

Ease of use and a reduction in the learning curve.

Pros

Ease of use made training other personnel on how to use the program very easy. We currently have three calibration specialists trained on this software package.

Cons

Copying of gages from one database to the next is difficult and thus caused me many problems. Our goal was to set up this program at two different plants.

My overall experience is great. their customer service is excellent and the training they provide is top notch.

Pros

I like that gagetrak allows you to keep your gage database all in one place. Calibrations are super easy to do and track. I also like the feature where it emails the gage due list and you can set up the frequency for it.

Cons

Sometimes the software is a bit unstable and crashes.

### "Application crashes"

The application is not very stable crashes very frequently on our Windows 10 computers. Their support tickets seem to sit unanswered until phone calls are made to them. They have a lot of possible configurations for it, but don't seem to know how to support those configurations correctly. Then when troubleshooting, the application is smart enough to record log files of all the activitiy, which includes information that I would think is relevant to troubleshooting it, but support often doesn't even ask for the application's log files, seems like they just try random things to get it fixed. The whole thing has been a very frustrating experience.

Pros

Has all the features needed from software like this. Ability to print calibration labels directly from the software.

Cons

Very unstable, runs but not well. Application crashes at least once a day for the users, and frequently has major issues with getting it running reliably. CyberMetrics support has been unable to determine if it's an issue with the database or an issue with the application itself.

We like the reporting feature for gages due and gages coming up for calibration.

Pros

Entering gage information is easy and I like the temp recording feature. Once you have established measurement routines they are easy to import into the individual gages.

Cons

The interface can be a little confusing sometimes to find what you are looking for. If not careful can end up in wrong area of software.

Improved control of gages.

Pros

It has many well thought out features. Nice reports that show what is coming due. More features than we use everyday. The features if used will lead to cost savings.

Cons

Software is not intuitive. Instructions and manuals have been weak. Lead times for support is long.

Pros

I like the quick filter as it makes finding gauges super fast and easy. I also really like the amount of data that can be associated with each gauge.

Cons

Eliminating errors made by previous gauge techs can be very time consuming. It's hard to filter the mistakes and correct them.

All gauges and schedules are kept in one place with ease of access.

Pros

Dashboard. Query functionality works well however, not user friendly as the delete function is where most programs have the execute function.

Cons

Compatibility with Windows 32 bit. Adding new gauges is cumbersome, as they do not appear in the dashboard and must be calibrated one at a time before appearing tint he dashboard.

Routine scheduling for the tracking of our shop floor gages, both in production and on the shelf, in regards to knowing when to provide calibration to them - based on usage date ranges, etc. Reminders of when to calibrate a gage, based on last time since doing that, assists us in maintaining a quality gaging system that we can rely on.

Pros

Not sure as I'm the administrator providing routine maintenance support and payment of the yearly software renewal support.

Cons

Being as though I'm the Information Technology Administrator for this software I do not have enough experience using the application on a regular basis, like an end user, to make a decision in regards to Cons of the software.

Pros

The ease of navigation is probably the best part of the software. I recently trained another employee on the use of the software and she easily caught on right away because everything makes sense.

Cons

There is sometimes communication issues between the software and the data base. Other than that we have no complaints.

Pros

The ease of running a report to find calibration due dates by month & Area. Also the ability to save search criteria, for future reports. And the capability to print a professional looking Calibration Certificate, to send to customers.

Cons

Cannot add external calibration certificates to a file. Also that a record can be altered, and/or amended by anyone that has access to the database, it would be nice if only the person, and/or Supervisor, that entered the original data, would be able to amend the record.

Pros

Easy to work with. And move around in and able to print labels instead of hand written.

Cons

Overall, its good. Still new to me but compared to what I have saw with the old version a lot of good improvements.

Being able to track everything that is placed in my quality department is a great feeling. an spending less money replacing gages.

Pros

It locks all the information i put in and doesn't change until i change it. As well as being able to track everything without a worry.

Cons

We cant make changes to some of the lines on the program as in drop lines meaning. Trying to delete anything from a drop line is difficult.

Hello, Jasmine. Thanks so much for the great GAGEtrak review! There are two kinds of drop-down lists in GAGEtrak. A self-building drop-down list lets you manually enter a new value which is automatically added to the list for future selection. These lists can be easily edited within Setup -> Dropdown List Management. The other kind is a value list which contains data that is entered only via the main data entry point, for example, the Supplier Code drop-down list in Gages. You cannot enter new data in this field. Instead, navigate to Suppliers from the main menu and enter a new supplier record. The new Supplier Code will then be available in the Supplier Code drop-down list in Gages. If a value list such as Supplier Code contains unwanted data, you can navigate to Suppliers and uncheck the Enabled checkbox. This makes the supplier inactive which removes the supplier from the drop-down list. If you need further assistance, contact us any time and thank you again for the great review!

Pros

Navigation is pretty easy. There are many different reports that are available. The dashboard is very handy and lets you know in a snap shot where you are.

Cons

There are occasional issues with the software freezing up and having to close out and restart, but what software doesn't have these issues? Some of the reports don't allow you to view gages the way you would think.

We use this product daily to keep track of our gages. With this software we can flag when gages are due for calibration, have access to their procedures, and keep records of all our calibration.

Pros

For me, I like the amount of information you can have all at one place. With a few clicks of the keys I can answer any question an auditor may ask. What used to be stressful wondering if I could find what they needed in my filing cabinet has now become a time of ease. I just sit back and strike some keys and all the info is right there.

Cons

That is a more difficult duestion. I have used a couple types of calibration software in the past and to be honest, this has been my favorite. I guess my personal issue has just been trying to learn everything this software offers. I have spent many hours jumping in head first figuring out all the things Gagetrak can do.

Pros

The technical support is very good. I like the 1/2 seminars on line. I learned a lot from them. When I send in a help ticket on line, the response is quick. I have talked to support on line and they a very helpful in telling me the problem and helping me with the solution. The technical support is very knowledgeable. They also have technical support in early seeing how I am on the east coast and in Eastern standard time.

Cons

I had difficulties email reports. I don't know if it is the way we are set up, but I read the manual and still felt that it was something I didn't really understand. Also previous calibration system we used we were able to merge a system file number to the elements that comprised that systems. If we updated the system file number the other elements were updated also.

Learned what I like vs what is not needed for a calibration system. Do like the FDA version for traceability.

Pros

Linked functions for gages and parts. History is shown as well as the option to link related documents.

Cons

Upgrade version 7.0 lost functionality in the Gage Usage area. No gage should ever not have a calibration due date assigned to it, as happens when Gage frequency is set to Usage.

When using the Usage frequency, the program won¿t create a next due date for calibration, but it will create an estimated due date based on the gage usage, even if you enter a calibration record for the gage. When you issue the gage, GAGEtrak predicts a due date based on the remaining number of usage days. You must use Issue Tracking (Issue/Return) for this to work and as long as you don¿t run out of Uses Left, there will be no Next Due Date until you issue the gage again. ### "GAGEtrack - Tool Management Software"

Pros

By switching from excel based to GAGEtrak it made the tool management system leaner and effective. It is easy to see the status of tools which are calibrated, due and finish the calibration recently. It reduce the room of error in missing the calibration of a tool. It has the feature to tabulate the data in report which can be present to the auditor.

Cons

So far our organization is satisfied with this software, it is serving the purpose.

I have been using Gagetrak daily for ten years and have had several version across those years. Over ten years ago I inherited multiple databases for multiple work groups. Each database was unorganized and cumbersome. Over time Gagetrak has allowed me to create one database for those multiple work groups. Gagetrak has made it far easier to create a better organized database which has made it easier for me to manage that work on a daily basis.

Pros

How customizable it is (Naming of fields in different tabs, ability to customize reports and labels, etc)

Cons

Dropdown list management was a great addition with version 7, however there are some fields that do not have a dropdown option.

Pros

The program lets you keep track of so many gages and lets you keep a lot of information about them right at your finger tips. Also the ability to not only search for things by just about any criteria but also to make your own reports and customize them at will makes this easy to keep track of any and all gages

Cons

Some of the options make you make blanket changes when it would be nice to be able to change something for an individual record and not every single one

organizing the gages and equipment that I have . and running reports from month to month,

easy to use when calibrations are needed. I also use this for inventory. keeping track of equipment that is not being calibrated every year. but I would like to know if it is still in the plant.

Cons

I feel there should be already programed in set points you want a 0-1" micrometer then there should be drop box with the test points already in there. I know I am not the only one with micrometers or calipers or indicators. it should already be there .

The ability to sort through a variety of different ways helps me to find items that were labeled incorrectly in the past. This allows me to clean up my database and not loose past records.

Pros

I like the fact that I can set it up with 21 CFR part 11 compliance or not. I also appreciate the validation package we used to get the system up and running without much trouble. the support I get from Cybermetrics has been excellent.

Cons

there are times that the program stops working when I am changing between different areas such as using searches then going back to the main screen everything will stop and I have to reboot the program. I don't seem to loose information but it is annoying.

I do not get any benefits from program. "It does what is says on the tin". During audits it is easy to show the functionality to auditors.

Pros

have nothing so say what i like the most. it all works what is need for my ISO regulations. will start using using the msa module later in the year.

Cons

The draw backs experienced are : it takes a long time at start up to get the modules working. Entering values in the cal module, it takes some long seconds before field is active. When program is loaded and you have to log off the PC, when logging back on and start using the s/w, some functionality is gone. ( No buttons/exit on Gage Entry Filter is one of them ) restart is necessary.
