The DonorSnap team provided hands-on service for the transition process and such personalized continued service that I know everyone by their first names. I always recommend DonorSnap to my peers in the Senior Care community and would recommend it to all philanthropic professionals at small to mid-sized nonprofits. Pros DonorSnap is a user-friendly online database that allows our medium-sized nonprofit to easily track donors, acknowledge donations, email donor contacts, assign and record interactions and pull customized reports. Unlike larger, more expensive databases, DonorSnap has a transparent interface which allows real-time customization at every level - for an extremely reasonable price. Not only is it easy to use, but if we ever have a question, online trainings are easy to find in their Help section, live trainings are given regularly, and customer support responds almost immediately. Cons The outgoing mass email function is a little clunky, so we usually export contacts to a CRM platform for more customizable email appeals and communications. May 1, 2026 5.0 I have been very pleased to use Donor Snap because of the ease in following the steps to run reports or obtain data. Often, in big shops, such as a University setting, the fundraising platform was so challenging (ie, Raisers Edge), that we had separate staff who did all the work for us. Donor Snap was easy from the start and where I was challenged, there were webinars and support to assist me. Excellent platform! I highly recommend it. Pros I am truly impressed with the customer service at Donor Snap, as well as the extensive library of webinars and handouts. \[sensitive content hidden\], staff, has been so responsive when I've still had a question and appreciate his service. I've worked in several fundraising programs and Donor Snap is by far the easiest and most efficient platform to use, especially for development staff in one person shops. Cons Perhaps the only item I consider least liking is that I often may leave a screen open, but when I go back to it, I have to re-enter Donor Snap; it may be a user error on my part. If you're not processing many donations and don't need a ton of functionality, it is a cheap option that will give you what you need. We moved to a new CRM when we outgrew DonorSnap. Pros It was very cheap and could handle the basics and simple CRM tasks. It is customizable enough that you also aren't missing out if you're a small nonprofit. Cons It feels and looks old. September 15, 2025 5.0 DonorSnap is such an improvement over other CRM's that I have tried. I have recommended it to my web developer, and he has passed on my recommendations to other clients of his, and they have started using DonorSnap also. Pros Donor Snap is so much easier to use, than two other CRM's that I had used previously. Easy to learn, and they have excellent training videos, which is where I am able to get the majority of my questions answered. When I can't find the answer on their Help/Training site, I will send an email off to the support team, and typically get a response with an answer within 30 minutes. A previous CRM product could take 2-3 weeks for an answer. There reporting options are also very easy to use. So much easier than those other guys. If you are proficient with Microsoft Office products you should have no issues. Cons The weakest link I would say is with the ability to send emails that are heavy on graphics. It is also possible that I have not tried enough, or asked the correct questions. Pros We, as an organization, have used Donosnap for 11 years now. We like the complete data it imports and the ease of putting in manual checks. The best part is the online input is as easy as 2 clicks and all the info is pulled in under the donor in a second! love that! It is also so easy to create specific reports & donor gifts if they want a quick update. The system, as a whole, is a great value for the cost. I also added EventSnap and AuctionSnap which also have limitations, but I look forward to them getting further developed. No extra fees or bundle packages, they just give you access to everything for considerably less money than some of the competitors we were looking at originally. They are simple and everything is fully customizable, especially the online forms that can be embedded into our website to collect contact data and payment information from our supporters. We run all of our trip payments, forms, signed waivers, and subscriptions through DonorSnap. We'll never go anywhere else, especially for $40/month, compared to $200+/month from other big software companies. Cons DonorSnap takes a little getting used to. It's very basic, no fun graphics or "wow" work here--just functional CRM software. The tech help is via email only, so you cannot get an immediate answer, but at the same time, this is how they keep their overhead low and pass the savings onto the clients. If you are unwilling to watch some tutorials on form set-up then this is not for you; it will take some practice and getting used to as you learn the software. Reason for choosing DonorSnap Cost and functionality. I didn't mind less bells and whistles for more product and functionality. Entering donations and preparing acknowledgments is also much less time consuming and more customizable than other databases. The customer service at DonorSnap is top-notch! There was an instance where I accidently deleted a contact and all of their history and the customer service team was able to quickly recover the information. The other systems I've used have been very clear that once you delete information, there is nothing they can do to help. Pros Straightforward pricing, intuitive and user-friendly interface, highly customizable, excellent customer support Cons While overall I find the interface to be more intuitive/user-friendly than other donor management systems, scrolling through contacts is tedious compared to other programs and understanding the query builder is less intuitive and takes some getting used to but the trainings offered are very helpful! My organization tracks donations, sends acknowledgments, records volunteer hours, runs mass email campaigns, and designs newsletters, all within DonorSnap. I like having the ability to customize pages and add user-defined fields. Pros Donorsnap has terrific customer support. The help pages, webinars, printable handouts, and video tutorials are all well done, and I've found them very useful. When I need more, however, I know the Donorsnap team will help. They are all extremely knowledgeable, and I've yet to pose a question they couldn't answer quickly and with a thorough explanation that leaves me well-equipped to tackle things myself next time. In addition to an incredible array of options, reports, integrations and additional features for a reasonable monthly fee, their customer support and commitment to user training is phenomenal. A well-designed HELP website directory has been very useful to refer to for training or refreshers. The team is also responsive and provides helpful support. If you use the responsive forms online, donor information goes directly into your database. In addition, the preferred payment platform has been able to offer competitive rates and assistance as well. Cons Highly useful databases are hard! I find DonorSnap is fantastic for the price, and the customer service is great. Pros The customer service is great. Typically, when I submit a ticket, someone gets back to me that day. They have maximized the return on our advertising dollars. By following their platform, we have been able to make the same investment into advertising that we have over the past several years while getting a much better return on our investment. Pros As a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that relies on donations to be able to operate, we have come to rely on DonorSnap to maintain contact with our donors, to alert them to new fundraising initiatives, and to track where donations are coming from. In the short time we have used it, we have already seen a spike in donations from this quarter last year to this quarter this year. The part I like most about DonorSnap is that our donors do not feel as though they are being hassled for money. Instead, because of the professional setup that DonorSnap allows us utilize, our donors feel more connected to both our organization and our mission. Cons The initial setup fee seemed steep at first, especially when we did not know whether we would see a return on our investment. " May 10, 2022 4.0 DonorSnap has helped me grow from a small, volunteer-led organization with no database or 501c3 to a well-oiled, professional nonprofit that raises $700k+ annually. I could not have afforded a traditional database when we started, but I would still need switch over to Blackbaud or any other CRM. DonorSnap has grown with me, and I am grateful for them and their team! Pros DonorSnap gives me everything I need to fundraise, track donations and contact management effectively. I don't need a big fancy platform: just something that helps me get the job done without a lot of guesswork. DonorSnap is it. Not a lot of frills, but enough for me to prepare decent reports, customize things like contribution statements, et.c I've recommended them to several other nonprofits for their functionality, and their great customer service. Easy to access tutorials and videos for anything you need to know how to do. They are always quick to respond in person as well. Cons I don't like the providers they've used for things like donation buttons, etc. But again that isn't their true line of work, so not a big problem for me. I do wish they would integrate with more online donation platforms like Qgiv to save on data entry! Some of the reporting features are clunky, take some guesswork.
