### "Two Years with DonorSnap and Going Strong"

We transitioned from a big-name donor database platform to 2 years ago and haven't looked back. The DonorSnap team provided hands-on service for the transition process and such personalized continued service that I know everyone by their first names. I always recommend DonorSnap to my peers in the Senior Care community and would recommend it to all philanthropic professionals at small to mid-sized nonprofits.

Pros

is a user-friendly online database that allows our medium-sized nonprofit to easily track donors, acknowledge donations, email donor contacts, assign and record interactions and pull customized reports. Unlike larger, more expensive databases, DonorSnap has a transparent interface which allows real-time customization at every level - for an extremely reasonable price. Not only is it easy to use, but if we ever have a question, online trainings are easy to find in their Help section, live trainings are given regularly, and customer support responds almost immediately.

Cons

The outgoing mass email function is a little clunky, so we usually export contacts to a CRM platform for more customizable email appeals and communications.

I have been very pleased to use Donor Snap because of the ease in following the steps to run reports or obtain data. Often, in big shops, such as a University setting, the fundraising platform was so challenging (ie, Raisers Edge), that we had separate staff who did all the work for us. Donor Snap was easy from the start and where I was challenged, there were webinars and support to assist me. Excellent platform! I highly recommend it.

Pros

I am truly impressed with the customer service at Donor Snap, as well as the extensive library of webinars and handouts. \[sensitive content hidden\], staff, has been so responsive when I've still had a question and appreciate his service. I've worked in several fundraising programs and Donor Snap is by far the easiest and most efficient platform to use, especially for development staff in one person shops.

Cons

Perhaps the only item I consider least liking is that I often may leave a screen open, but when I go back to it, I have to re-enter Donor Snap; it may be a user error on my part.

Overall, for a small nonprofit it is an excellent choice. If you're not processing many donations and don't need a ton of functionality, it is a cheap option that will give you what you need. We moved to a new CRM when we outgrew .

Pros

It was very cheap and could handle the basics and simple CRM tasks. It is customizable enough that you also aren't missing out if you're a small nonprofit.

Cons

It feels and looks old. It is a little clunky sometimes, and there are a few quirks you have to get used to.

If you’re looking for a donor management database that’s effective, budget-friendly, and backed by a fantastic support team, I can’t recommend enough!

Pros

I’ve been using for nearly 10 years, and it has been an incredible tool for managing donor relationships. The platform is user-friendly, reliable, and packed with features that make tracking and engaging with donors a breeze. One of the standout aspects is its affordability—it offers great value for organizations of all sizes. What truly sets DonorSnap apart is its excellent customer service. Anytime I’ve had a question or needed assistance, their team has been responsive, helpful, and genuinely invested in making sure I succeed. Over the years, I’ve recommended DonorSnap to several organizations, and they’ve all had positive experiences as well.

Cons

If there’s one thing I’d love to see improved, it’s their presence at fundraising conferences. These events are where I connect with the largest audience of nonprofit professionals, and I think could make a big impact by being more visible in those spaces. It would be great to see them there more often!

is such an improvement over other CRM's that I have tried. I have recommended it to my web developer, and he has passed on my recommendations to other clients of his, and they have started using DonorSnap also.

Pros

Donor Snap is so much easier to use, than two other CRM's that I had used previously. Easy to learn, and they have excellent training videos, which is where I am able to get the majority of my questions answered. When I can't find the answer on their Help/Training site, I will send an email off to the support team, and typically get a response with an answer within 30 minutes. A previous CRM product could take 2-3 weeks for an answer. There reporting options are also very easy to use. So much easier than those other guys. If you are proficient with Microsoft Office products you should have no issues.

Cons

The weakest link I would say is with the ability to send emails that are heavy on graphics. It is also possible that I have not tried enough, or asked the correct questions.

Our eleven year commitment to speaks to our satisfaction for the whole package! We believe it contributes to clean reords and donor communication.

Pros

We, as an organization, have used Donosnap for 11 years now. We like the complete data it imports and the ease of putting in manual checks. The best part is the online input is as easy as 2 clicks and all the info is pulled in under the donor in a second! love that! It is also so easy to create specific reports & donor gifts if they want a quick update. The system, as a whole, is a great value for the cost.

Cons

The thing i like least is probably using email for support as I am a verbal customer & prefer phone calls

has been great in helping us take our non-profit to the next level with our supporters. It was easy to set up, easy to migrate old information from another system, and easy to run. We are moving into a bright future with the help of DonorSnap.

Pros

Donor Snap customer service is great! They have a wealth of educational videos, and if those don't answer your question, their customer service team is quick to respond to any emails (usually within an hour)!

Cons

A few of the options take some time and additional knowledge (like doing HTML for emails), but even then the staff are willing to help with whatever you need.

I have been a customer for many years and while I look from time to time at other products, I always come back to DS because it is accomplishing what I need and at a good price point. Believe it or not, there are some features I never used and just this year in 2025 I started to use them and see the benefits to our Development and Business Office. I also added EventSnap and AuctionSnap which also have limitations, but I look forward to them getting further developed. Overall, I am a happy customer and look forwarding to a continually developing product.

Good Value Intuitive technology Support accessibilty from \[sensitive content hidden\] The integration with Stripe The add-ons of Auction and EventSnap (although too early to tell) Data all in one place

Cons

Some limitations Support is not as frequent as I always need I don't use some features and I always wonder best practices

We love . It helps us thank our donors every time we receive a donation. It is also very helpful with reporting and emailing all donors at once. The customer support is also better than most programs. They actually have people that will help.

Pros

The ease of use and the reports are very useful for grant writing. It also allows us to generate thank you letters for all donors.

Building queries seems like a bit of a hassle until you learn the process, then its very simple and helpful

The customer service/help department is quick to respond and always provides resolution. Donation logging and profile creation is simple and straightforward.

Cons

I struggle some with creating reports in data miner gold and platinum. Pledge tracking and reporting is also difficult.

### "A great product- don't hesitate!"

We have been using since 2017 for 2 separate community foundations and therefore have 2 separate DonorSnap accounts. The transition from our excel spreadsheets to DonorSnap was very smooth. One of the things I love most about DonorSnap is the responsiveness of the team. Whenever I have a question or need technical assistance, I get a response within the day- usually within a few hours. That is something I really value and appreciate.

Pros

It's a cost effective donor management system that is easy to use. has been a fantastic partner, always responsive and adding new features that are useful. The best feature for us is the integration with online donations. This has made our processes more efficient and streamlined.

Cons

The only downfall of is that it is one of many tools we use in our backoffce. We use a separate Grant Management Tool and separate Budgeting tool. This is actually not a con of DonorSnap itself, as DonorSnap does not promise those products. There is really nothing specific to DonorSnap platform that I would say I have found problematic. If anything, we are not using all the functionality that DonorSnap provides and that is due to not being able to dedicate the time- we are a very small staff with limited capacity.

It works well for a nonprofit of our size.

Pros

The transition and mapping from our previous database to was great and almost seamless. To be able to process donations from GoEmerchant to donorSnap is easy. This gives us an easy way to track our donations using our own donation type names and accounting numbers. To be able to look at historical donations for the last few years that we had from our records is priceless. Setting up the contacts using our own personalized information was easy. We love ! It's user-friendly and easy to train new team members while still providing a level of detail and deeper analysis needed by our executive staff members. DonorSnap meets all of our needs while still being affordable which is a critical necessity for an organization of our size.

Pros

has all of the reporting, tracking, and acknowledgement capabilities that an organization of our size needs. This software is a great return on investment. Setup was easy and customer service is always responsive to any questions we have.

Cons

We would love to see more reporting capabilities to compare campaign success and donor giving across multiple time periods. It would also be great if the email acknowledgments were automatically added as notes and the attachments were added as documents under the individual donor files.

### "Reflections on Donor Snap from a New Director of Advancement"

It has been positive so far and I look forward to continued growth and development of our organization's use of it. I am a 40+year Fund Development professional using both Raiser's Edge (25 years) and Salesforce and I have to say I have been pleasantly surprised with Donor Snap.

Pros

I have only been using it for 11 months as I am new to the organization but I have found it very simple and easy to use. It allows me to customize to my needs. This is important as I have assumed responsibility for a database which needs a considerable amount of maintenance and clean up on our organization's end. It covers the basics and leaves room to grow and I look forward to using more of Donor Snap's capacity. Help Resources are very useaful and user friendly and cover all the basics.

Cons

The design of the database which allows such wide ranging capacity for customization is also one of the draw backs but that is totally the responsibility of the organizations using it. It might be something to think about stressing to new users....document what and why you are doing things. This advice would make it much easier when new staff assume the reins.

is a comprehensive CRM that makes it easy for me to track donations, send thank you/tax letters and emails, interactions with donors and patrons- all of the things I need to do to help a non-profit to run smoothly. It automates many tasks that used to take much longer with just excel spreadsheets and similar programs. And it allows a wider range of functions. The customer support provided is outstanding. I send in a question, and a helpful response comes back to me faster than with any other 'help desk' that I've used. I appreciate that we can have multiple team member profiles to be able to maintain this crm. It's an incredibly effective tool for our organization.

Cons

I really don't have any dislikes about it- I started using it just about a year ago, and the trainings available are excellent. And anything I couldn't figure out right away or through a training, customer service has been able to solve for me.

What do I like ,,,,, I am new to my company and have used for 8 months now - I am the accountant and have never used a donor software before. I find that the training webinars very helpful - easy to find what I needed and they were well thought out. I have also contacted technical support when I couldn't find an answer and they were very professional and helpful.

Cons

What do I like least ...... that is a hard one for me - since I am still learning what can do, I don't have anything specific that I don't like at this point. My next large learning curve will be how to integrate with QuickBooks - which is very important to me.

is a very powerful suite of tools. While a person can get up to speed quickly and begin using the basic functions almost immediately, those who are able to invest more time in learning can harness its tremendous capabilities. My organization tracks donations, sends acknowledgments, records volunteer hours, runs mass email campaigns, and designs newsletters, all within DonorSnap. I like having the ability to customize pages and add user-defined fields.

Pros

has terrific customer support. The help pages, webinars, printable handouts, and video tutorials are all well done, and I've found them very useful. When I need more, however, I know the Donorsnap team will help. They are all extremely knowledgeable, and I've yet to pose a question they couldn't answer quickly and with a thorough explanation that leaves me well-equipped to tackle things myself next time. In the age of AI and virtual assistants, it's so nice to get a personalized response from a human who understands what I'm asking for.

I wish there was a way to do a mass delete of inactive records.

If I need a specific report and am not sure how to go about it, within minutes I get a video tutorial or an email helping me with questions or suggestions on how I am using the program. The program itself is easy to use and intuitive, but it's the customer service that really puts it over the top for me.

Cons

Sometimes it is slow to load when we have multiple users in the database at the same time.

We use the volunteer module, event registration, mass email, giving forms, donor card systems, and so much more. As a very involved user of the software, I highly recomend the software for your growing non-profit.

Powerful CRM resource for non-profits, with benifits that are far beyond the cost. I love that is constantly improving the software to have new and better functionality.

The app is useful for viewing donors, but is limited in its functionality for the development team.

As a new Executive Director for our non-profit organization, I have been thrilled with all of the trainings that offers. I have attended many virtual sessions, all of which have been so helpful. If I have a question, I am almost always able to find an answer (and usually a recorded training) on Donorsnap's help page. This has been a life-saver for me, and I now feel very confident with Donorsnap's features. I use Donorsnap for just about everything: online forms, database management, emails, address labels, reports, etc. I seriously do not know what I would do without it. Their customer service team is excellent--if I ever have a question, I hear back promptly from an actual real, live person (no recorded message or bot!)! 10/10 I highly recommend Donorsnap!

I like how easy it is to use. We were leery about changing databases, but the team made the conversion process a very easy experience. We had someone working with us every step of the way and it was a quick and easy process.

Cons

The only Con is can do more than I thought it could so trying to learn everything take a little time.
