Our organization was concerned about ransomware attacks and phishing scams, so we required TruAdvantage to train our staff on how to protect their data. First, they assessed our existing security measures, identified areas of concern, and devised an action plan for enhancement. Subsequently, they furnished us with ransomware and phishing protection software, addressing vulnerabilities in areas we were previously unaware of. They implemented patch management to ensure our new security system undergoes regular network assessments and updates for ongoing protection. Furthermore, they initiated an extensive training program to equip our team with the knowledge needed to navigate our new safety protocols and measures. Pros:

  • Our network has significantly improved in terms of security, primarily because our staff is now more vigilant about phishing and ransomware scams, thanks to TruAdvantage's training. Remarkably, we haven't encountered any issues related to phishing and ransomware since partnering with them. Additionally, our network faces fewer security threats thanks to the effectiveness of the patch management system they implemented. I was really pleased with their project management. One of the key factors for me when working with vendors is having a project manager who is always available through email for any questions or issues, and TruAdvantage's project manager was just that. They offer a total package, so the value for what we spend is great.
  • I'm very pleased with our communication. We mainly use HelpDesk Live Chat, but we also communicate through phone calls and email when needed. Their project manager quickly assigns technicians to handle any issues that come up. For a startup, finding dependable partners is crucial. TruAdvantage has been there to assist with any IT issues and consistently provides us with excellent treatment.

Cons:

  • It's common for companies to exaggerate their product during the initial sales pitch, which can be overwhelming, but TruAdvantage is not an exception in this regard.
  • As we expand our workforce in oversees, we've noticed that that some oversees government has distinct Information Technology laws, particularly concerning VPN usage. While not mandatory, it would be beneficial if TruAdvantage had a branch or partner in some of these countries to become well-acquainted with these regulations.
  • We had some issues in the past with the ticketing system but all has been improved and fixed now.
  • The 24/7 support had a 30 minute delay in response in the past. They have changed it to live 24/7 which we need since we get after hour calls from patients. Everything is good now.

Cons:
I can't think of any right now, but there is one thing I'm not entirely sure is either good or bad: there's a tendency for overcommunication regarding issues and tickets. We receive multiple emails at different stages of a ticket, which, while intended to keep us informed, might come across as excessive and potentially diminish the importance of the updates.

Overall Experience: TruAdvantage delivered the following for us: 1.Conducted a comprehensive assessment of IT systems, security data, and user interviews. 2.Presented the findings to me and our team along with recommendations. 3.Implemented their totalCARE managed IT solution. 4.Successfully migrated all our servers to the cloud without any downtime. 5.Transitioned our email system from on-site servers to Office 365. 6.Provided training to our staff on accessing support through chat, live phone, and email. 7.Commenced a Security Awareness Training (SAT) program for all employees Results: All of our staff have completed IT security training, and we've experienced zero security issues, including phishing and email threats. Our security practices and password policies have been improved, ensuring peace of mind for our staff. Our helpdesk support is incredibly responsive, with no wait times, enhancing staff productivity. Our servers were seamlessly moved to the cloud, eliminating on-site servers and downtime. Email is now hosted on Microsoft Office 365, eliminating email-related downtime as well. Thanks to their feedback and support, we've automated certain processes, leading to cost savings and increased efficiency.

Overall Experience: Full disclosure: one of the co-founders of TruAdvantage is my schoolmate from San Jose State days. As one of the top creative digital companies in the Bay Area, we heavily rely on technology, computers, printers, high speed network with minimal downtime. I contacted TruAdvantage in my search of an IT partner who could help us automate more, minimize downtime, help our staff with their daily issues, mobile access and collaboration tools. I also needed direction to utilize Cloud more and lower cost. and TruAdvantage exactly has delivered that over the past year. Initial engagement: very professional yet friendly. They shared their vision of IT results they deliver to businesses and it was completely in line with what we needed. Their approach is definitely different from other IT firms I was interviewing at the time . They see the big picture and help you utilize IT to impact your bottom line at the business level. Responsiveness (Helpdesk): critical factor for our company is that our IT issues are handled in a timely manner. We have 3 ways ( call, email or portal) to report issues. They are quick , and follow metrics of how fast they resolve issues. They typically fix our issues remotely within minutes. I get a monthly report of their resolution time even though I don't ask for it. IT Strategy: They helped us move our servers to their hosted cloud so our cost has been lowered with higher security and reliability. That has brought great peace of mind for me as the owner. I truly enjoy the quarterly meetings in which we get a high level overview of our IT status and recommendations to further impact our business in regards to cost, security and staff. Overall: fun and knowledgeable team with a diverse team and expertise . No geek language, very process oriented, every responsive by following metrics. They have become a true partner for our business. We even call them for non IT issues sometimes (like what TV should I buy) and get their recommendation. Highly recommended especially if you want a trusted advisor to help you with daily IT issues and also overall IT direction and strategy.

Our transition from paper records to EMR was remarkably seamless and hassle-free. They took care of the entire process, requiring minimal effort on our part, and their services were highly cost-effective. I can't emphasize enough how pleased we are with their support and expertise. They perform daily monitoring of our system and provide monthly reports detailing the status of our computers. Given the sensitive nature of our billing and insurance operations, our primary concern is the security of our system. Overall Experience: We were in search of an experienced team to assist us in rewiring our outdated office. Additionally, we needed a team to facilitate the transition of our paper charts to Electronic Medical Records (EMR). We operate with approximately 30 computers in our office, all integrated into a cloud-based monitoring system. When we initially engaged their services, most of our computers required replacement, and our entire office needed rewiring to enable Wi-Fi connectivity. Remarkably, they wired our office twice – first at our old location and once again when we had to relocate suddenly due to the sale of our previous site. Furthermore, they recommended setting up a backup internet connection to ensure uninterrupted connectivity.

Overall Experience: As one of the leading security and compliance firms in the Bay Area, we have relied on TruAdvantage since 2016. Truadvantage has been the IT team we bring in for most of our clients between 30 to 200 staff. We had a client who we did a very good job for, but unfortunately, it wasn’t successful because their IT department tried to implement our suggestions themselves. Their IT department blamed us, and we had to bring TruAdvantage in to show that client that their own IT department was failing. They really saved our image over there, and that client ended up firing their IT person. They relied on TruAdvantage from that point on to help them. After that, it benefited us to use them with our clients because they know exactly what security is. They are very knowledgeable in IT and IT security. They are dedicated to our clients. We had a client who had an issue with their IT, and they came over the weekend and spent a few hours just to help them. We consider them more as an extension of our team rather than an external company. They are there for us every time we pick up the phone. Our clients who have worked with them have called and thanked us for referring them to TruAdvantage because of their response time and dedication.

In addition to their remarkable response time, the team at TruAdvantage is both easygoing and enjoyable to collaborate with. Overall Experience: Our company deals with numerous files, backups, and websites, and we required an IT partner to manage our infrastructure and ensure the smooth operation of all our systems. Overall Experience: Our radiology practice is 100% dependent on technology and if we have any downtime, everything comes to a halt. The doctors need access to patient records and images 24/7 and that has been provided by the creative solutions TruAdvantage has given us. What has helped us the most is their perspective and birds-eye view on our clinic's workflow. When I think back, for the longest time our staff had to do many things manually, do double-entries, FedEx boxes of paper records to our affiliates, walk orders and paperwork over to doctors, techs, and much more. Today, every step is thought-out, well planned, and all happens in order, electronically without papers! No more printing, then faxing, then scanning back into system, no more delivering paperwork or messages by staff walking all over the place, we now have all of it streamlined in our EHR system and integrated into other online and cloud services that help us utilize our time better.

Overall Experience: In 2019, we strategically opted to replace our in-house IT team, consisting of three members, with a Managed Service Provider (MSP) specializing in the Finance sector. This decision underwent comprehensive evaluation from both a financial and strategic perspective and received approval. Friendly, competent, and knowledgeable team who goes the extra mile. They are personable yet precise and always make sure a fast response and complete solution to our need(s) are delivered. We now have fast internet access, they replaced outdated computers, saved money for us by changing our Internet provider.
