I was referred to The Media Captain by a fellow music school owner friend who said they were amazing to work with and really helped his SEO. My friend was right! Jason, Alec, and the whole team at The Media Captain are extremely organized, efficient, and knowledgeable. They presented me with a spreadsheet of goals and tasks organized by month, explained their strategy and got my approval for it, and have been working through the tasks methodically, updating me as they go. They made super smart changes to my website which I never would have thought of and my rankings have already improved after just a few months! They also improved my Google Adwords and got the cost per click down. I was initially worried that they would simply advise and I would have to do a lot of work on my own (which would be a bummer since I don't know anything about this stuff!), but that's not how it works. I gave them my login credentials to key sites and they do ALL the work. I have worked with two other SEO companies. One was more of a freelancer and one was a much larger company. Both had problems and even though I was promised results (which was fishy in the first place), I never got them. I did, however, waste a lot of money. The Media Captain is a perfectly-sized company with direct contact and strategizing with the owner but also a lot of support from the rest of the team. They're large enough to have resources but small enough to actually care. As a business owner of nearly 10 years, I have worked with a lot of companies. The Media Captain is one of the best companies I have ever worked with! In our industry, there is no smarter way to spend your marketing budget than on getting those organic rankings up. Pros:

  • I have been working with media captain for almost the better part of a decade at this point! We have worked on various projects and campaigns. They get things done right. Jason has a keen sense of understanding brand and it shows in his work. It is just nice having a vendor you can trust. We have recurring engagements but also we will run one off campaigns (or a local link link building campaign) when needed.

  • Fantastic group to work with. Helped to Increase our web traffic tremendously.

  • The Media Captain is so easy to work with. Professional, collaborative, and smart ... and they work as an extension of our team. From video production and web design/development to SEO/PPC and local listings management, they really are top-notch.

  • I really liked that Jason was not just trying to make the sale when we first started, he explained exactly what goes into SEO without being really technical. I knew some of what went into SEO, but I have learned so much and enjoy the awesome results we have had with them as our SEO professional!

Cons:

  • Originally with my busy schedule it could be difficult to keep the right level of communication but we solved that by setting up regular Abd recurring preplanned phone conference to review campaigns.

  • They have the knowledge and expertise to position your website for optimal SEO & PPC.

  • No complaints at all. The Media Captain service has been exceptional, and the results are first-class.

  • I have absolutely nothing bad to say about The Media Captain, they have provided excellent service and are always willing to answer any of our questions around the clock.

Overall Experience: Jason and his team at The Media Captain were first class throughout our whole experience. They customized our firm’s new website and had all of the tools necessary to keep our Google rankings in tact from our old site. It was truly a seamless experience with Grade A customer service. Michelle was always available to speak with whenever we needed to discuss an edit and Katie was also always available to discuss design. They designed our site and it looks clean and welcoming. Our firm quoted several other companies to build our new site and The Media Captain came in at the most reasonable price. They also completed the site by our original deadline. Our company had an initial meeting with Jason, Mike and Carson. All were very knowledgeable, professional and personable. We had a unique situation with our website needs and they were able to address all of them on budget and on time.
