I inherited the Ave 25 relationship when I joined Nevoa Inc. as Marketing Director in April 2017. I have worked with and for agencies throughout my career. One of the biggest mistakes Marketing Directors, VPs, etc., make (in my opinion) is coming in to a new position and immediately firing the incumbent agency for another that they have worked with previously. My objective and responsibility in joining Nevoa was to create the branding, positioning, marketing, web presence, etc., for both the company and for a new, exciting product the company is launching. I had other agency relationships in mind to bring in to help with this work, and at the time Ave 25 had only been hosting the Nevoa website for a very low monthly fee. I asked to meet with them to learn more about their overall capabilities, and from that initial meeting I knew they were a unique, small group of incredibly talented, passionate branding/marketing professionals. They created a branding and positioning for both Nevoa Inc. and for the new product offering that were both integral to everything that came after that point. We knew our voice, our persona, how we want to sound and act with the multiple target audiences we identified. It was incredibly powerful and incredibly helpful to keep our (also small) team focused on how best to brand, market and position our company and our products. From there Ave 25 designed a new website, a tradeshow booth, retractable banners, and more. In addition to the great work we received, I received "something to think about" emails from the Creative Director multiple times on weekends or at night when he was thinking about our company and brand. To think about it is one thing; to take the time to send off a message to take it beyond that is unique in my experience. They are fair and transparent about how they charge for their services; every deliverable we have received has literally "wowed" us.July 2, 2021

Pros:

  • The team at Ave 25 is small AND mighty. They have been working together for a long time (especially for smaller agencies), and they truly love working with small to medium businesses. We love having direct access to the Creative Director (Rob Tinsman) and Co-founder (Rusty Pile) for branding and strategy work - they lead the effort internally, they present it to the client. This way, nothing is lost in translation as is sometimes the case with larger agencies. The account manager/business development person, Rachel Gularte, is incredibly organized, direct and open - you always know exactly where you stand with your projects, timelines, budgets. Great work plus fair rates and on-track timelines is what I like best!
  • The team was very easy to work with especially since I was an out of state Client. Rob and Dave were very quick to respond via email and zoom meetings. They always provided solutions to my questions and concerns.
  • Avenue 25 has a WIDE range. I think perhaps they are capable of anything.

Cons:

  • I'm a raving fan of this agency, so this is really tough. Their Nespresso coffee machine is pretty outdated?
  • It was a slow start at first due to the fact that I was not part of the initial discussions with Avenue 25. I was hired by my firm after they agreed to use Avenue 25 so I needed to be brought up to speed and make sure we were all on the same page as far as expectations. Very small hurdle that was overcome.
  • Approval processes can be a bit cumbersome, but I appreciate the need for this to avoid unexpected billing.

Overall Experience: We have thrown a lot of different challenges at the team at Avenue 25 and have been impressed with how adaptable and flexible they have been at every turn. That has been especially important to us as we have been developing a new product that grows and changes every day. We have also appreciated how open they have been to our own ideas. They have always been very willing to help us expand our vision in addition to providing their own ideas and guidance. We are always glad when a meeting with them is on our schedule, as it is always time well spent (and usually kind of fun!). They are a very creative and professional team and I recommend them highly.
