Review of The FileMaker Platform

“Decent for storing TV and Radio ads”

ProsThe storage and the automatic saving feature - whenever you type into FM, it is automatically saved without you having to click any additional buttons.
ConsBuggy at very random times - it will load and revert back to the original copy instead of the most up to date. Does not happen often at all, but when it does it's a setback.

Review of The FileMaker Platform

“Custom Database Solution”

OverallIn our business we use FileMaker not only for us, but, we help clients customize their solutions. We love being able to custom tailor a solution and design the layouts and user interface to fit our needs. Custom, custom, custom is all I have to say. We have used it for CRM, accounting and custom solutions that can also integrate nicely with the web.
ProsI have been utilizing this software for almost 10 years now. The best part of FileMaker is the ability to customize your database to suit your needs. However, you do need knowledge on how databases work in order to customize. I love being able to design my own layouts, injecting my own design and workflow into the user interface.
ConsPersonally I don't see cons, however, for someone who is looking for an out of the box solution, you can find some starter solutions, but without development skills, you would need to hire a developer to help you customize a solution to suit your individual business needs.

Review of The FileMaker Platform

“Great program for creating applications”

OverallOverall I was happy with the service provided and the product. Biggest drawback is the process required to create a new form.
Prosthe mapping between applications/forms. We will out several insurance company applications for each client, with FileMaker we can fill out one and the information populates to the rest of them.
ConsSo time consuming to create a new form. general office employees would struggle, you almost need a computer programmer.
