Bandwidth

Bandwidth is the word used to describe frequencies that can be transferred from one point to another. It's measured by bitrate and bits per second (bps). A connection's bandwidth sets the speed at which data can pass through the circuit or network. The higher the bandwidth, the more information that can be passed through at one time. Bandwidth is also key to radio signal processing. Here, the word is used to describe the difference between the upper and lower frequencies of a transmission and is measured in hertz (Hz).

What Small and Midsize Businesses Need to Know About Bandwidth

As the demands put on a network continue to increase thanks to video conferencing, streaming, and gaming, many network planners are working tirelessly to increase bandwidth potential so that SMBs don't have to experience slower connections when everyone in the office or workplace is trying to video conference or use the internet all at once.
