Screenshot / Screen Capture

A screenshot, also known as a screen capture, is an image file that captures the digital display of a desktop or mobile device's screen. Screenshots can capture an individual application window or the entirety of a computer or mobile device user's screen. Once a screenshot is captured, it is stored as an image file. Screenshots save device users the trouble of having to use another device to take a picture of their device's screen.

What Small and Midsize Businesses Need to Know About Screenshot / Screen Capture

Businesses can use screen captures as training resources during onboarding, or when implementing new software systems. Screenshots can also be used when troubleshooting computer problems. For example, if an employee is having trouble getting a software program to function properly, they can take a screenshot of their screen to show an IT professional the issue that is occurring. This way, the IT professional will be able to clearly see what the problem is, streamlining the troubleshooting process.
