Session Initiation Protocol (SIP)
Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) refers to the technological protocol that is used to begin any sort of data connection. This connection can involve a variety of applications, such as FaceTime or a Zoom call. While the type of SIPs used may vary depending on the service that is involved, an SIP is used in a wide array of internet applications. They also work in conjunction with numerous other internet protocols, such as HTTP and SMTP.
