First Generation (1G or Analog)

1G or analog networks were among the first generation of wireless telephone networks. The first-ever commercially deployed wireless communications network used 1G. Japan first deployed this network in 1979. At the time, the technology was high-tech and cutting edge. However, cellular phone adaption was not widespread.

What Small and Midsize Businesses Need to Know About First Generation (1G or Analog)

The technology which manages 1G is long gone. There are no small businesses that still use this tech. Even at the time of its origins, most businesses did not use 1G because it was = too expensive for the average business to take advantage of its capabilities. Furthermore, it was not yet necessary. 1G came around long before the internet was commercially considered viable.
