IAM as a Service (IAMaaS)
Identity and access management (IAM) as a Service (IAMaas) describes a software license model in which the vendor delivers IAM services over a network connection, typically via the cloud. The term is also used as an alternative to identity and access management (IAM) when specifically referencing SaaS-based solutions for authentication, authorization, and user account provisioning.
What Small and Midsize Businesses Need to Know About IAM as a Service (IAMaaS)
The main advantage of implementing IAM as a Service is that companies can manage access rights more efficiently across an entire organization because everything is centralized and easy to track. Utilizing IAMaas limits the amount of on-site hardware that a business needs, which can help save on costs and increase software scalability.
