Pop-Up
A pop-up is a small graphical user interface (GUI) that abruptly pops up in front of or behind other windows on a userʻs device or screen. Pop-ups are often generated by websites that insert JavaScript into their hypertext markup language (HTML).
Pop-ups typically appear on a screen without being prompted by a computer user. Pop-ups are often used for search engine optimization (SEO) purposes, presenting website viewers with clear, relevant calls-to-action.
