Capterra Glossary
Sideband
In radio communications, a sideband is the band of frequencies either higher or lower than the carrier frequency. Sidebands are a product of the amplitude modulation process. Single-sideband transmission, in which one sideband is removed, is used in amateur (ham) radio.
What Small and Midsize Businesses Need to Know About Sideband
Unless working in an industry involving radio communications or high-tech sound technologies, SMBs typically don't need to be concerned with sideband frequencies.
