Virtual Network Operator (vno)
A virtual network operator (VNO) is a provider of network management and a reseller of network services. A VNO does not typically own the telecommunication infrastructure. A VNO usually leases bandwidth at wholesale rates from various telecom providers to provide solutions to their customers.

Virtual network operators are a relatively new concept in the North American market when compared to the European and Asian markets. Fully virtual VNOs do not have any technical facilities or technical support provision; instead, they rely on the support delivered by the owners of the underlying infrastructure.
