A widget is a term used to describe any graphical user interface (GUI) element or application that can display information to a user, or that a user can interact with. Widgets include pull-down menus, selection boxes, calendars, web page magnifiers, scroll bars, windows, buttons, icons, toggle buttons, and other options that display information or allow users to interact with a website or device in a specific way.
